What is a Family Physician?

Family Physicians are specially trained, and Board Certified, in the care for newborns, children, teenagers and young, mid-life, and senior adults. We take care of the entire range of health care needs. Family Physicians provide health maintenance examinations, annual physicals, health care needs assessments, provide preventative care and teach people what they can do to improve and maintain their health and develop a healthy lifestyle. We provide care to newborns and children of all ages. Parenting and life cycle issues. Care of adults, including problems with the heart, lungs, nerves, blood, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, stomach, intestines and kidneys. We provide for the special needs of women, including PAP tests, reproductive issues, sexual issues and menopause. We can manage minor injuries and trauma and often perform office surgery. We specialize in cancer screening, immunizations and the care of people with HIV/AIDS.
